Rec To Tek

Your place to go for instruction ranging from basic "Open Water" up to all areas of technical diving. They are great instructors with a passion for teaching and helping students achieve their goals ( and they are just really...really friendly ). Tell them Don sent you.

Rec To Tek is also where you can get some fantastic gear such as the Shearwater Predator computer. Having recently upgraded to this computer all I can say is "Wow...what an awesome dive computer". They also carry Light Monkey products and those familiar with The Light Monkey reputation for customer service as well as products engineered understand not much more needs to be said. While there are other dealers in the area carrying their products, I would only trust Rec To Tek for quality service.

Deep Blue Divers

If you are in the Fort Wayne or surrounding area, this is the premier shop to go to for all your recreational needs. They offer some of the best service and support I've found anywhere. Randy is one of the most helpful guys I've ever come across and is always there with a positive attitude. In full-disclosure, this is also the shop that I help out at and handle most of their equipment repair and other needs. Regardless of my affiliation, for a recreational shop, this is the best one I've come across in a very long time.

Silent Submersion

Having owned several types of scooters over the years I am extremely impressed with the quality and service received from the fine folks at Silent Submersion.

Equinox

When you get into shooting video you constantly are upgrading to keep up with technology. Other housings I've owned would only fit a certain camera. Once you upgrade, you also need to upgrade the housing. With Equinox, each housing has the capability to work with a number of cameras and this was very appealing.

Halcyon

When I transistioned from recreational type diving to other types of dives Halcyon gear was the choice I made. Dependable, fantastic customer service and very well made. While I own a lot of other gear now that is comparable in quality, the customer service I have received from them when I had issues is why they are listed here.

Diving Unlimited International

There are a lot of very good suits on the market and after owning (and wearing out) several I thought I'd give D.U.I. a shot. So far this has been a very robust suit that has stood up well to a very heaving diving schedule in a variety of conditions. I especially like the zip seal solution although when I saw the product introduced many years ago I was quite skeptical. Aside from a partial suit flood in Peacock due to a loose wrist seal (was more than likely my fault) I haven't had any issues.

Adobe

What can I say...it's Adobe. Some of their products have a very steep learning curve if you are new to editing and design. If you have a background or familiarity with the structure then that will certainly help. At this level of product expectations, there are several very solid programs out there and it was a tough call which one to updgrade to. In the end, I'm pretty pleased with the decision to get both of their suites.
